Children follow the adventures of Sebby Star in a story-based, immersive learning experience. In Key Stage 1 each year group has 12 sessions which help children to recognise emotions and play well together.
For Key Stage 1 we have teamed up with My Mood Stars®. Each class will receive a pack of 8 ‘My Mood Stars’ which will be integrated into the programme. Children will be able to touch, share and use the stars both in and out of the session when referring to and learning about emotions.
The Key Stage 1 Programme aims to
- Build emotional literacy
- Support emotional regulation
- Build skills for getting on with others
- Build resiliency
- Join up the triangle of home, school and child.
Parents will receive 4 short videos . These videos will include information on what their children are learning and tools to support their children’s emotional development at home.
3 hour CPD accredited training supports the teacher to deliver the Key Stage 1 programme and to consider the social and emotional needs of the children in their class.
