Training session for the Year 6 programme which aims for children:
- To consider how we contribute to our community, how we look out for others and understand our responsibility to others.
- To enable children to understand changing relationships and friendship dynamics.
- To enable children to explore their feelings around change.
- To enable children to understand what mental health is and how we can practise good mental health and know who and how to ask for help.
- To enable children to explore how they take the best parts of themselves to secondary school.
Teachers will :
- Be equipped to run the Year 6 programme
- Address issues such as changing friendships, transition and what is good mental health.
- Provide a reflective space for the teachers to consider the emotional needs of the children in their class.
