Our Vision

Our Vision for Heads Up Kids

Heads Up Kids vision is to raise a generation of children that have the skills and tools for positive mental health.

Our Mission

Our Mission is to empower teachers with inspiring training to enhance their class’s social and emotional wellbeing. Through our bespoke wellbeing curriculum, teachers help children build emotional literacy, emotional regulation, friendship skills, resilience and positivity.

This mission is driven by and in response to the growing mental health crisis and financial constraint schools face.

Our early intervention addresses 3 key challenges;

Children’s Mental Health Crisis: 1 in 5 children have a mental health issue (NHS Digital, 2023)

 Lack of Mental Health Teacher Training: Teachers ‘significantly’ impact children’s mental health (Royal Society of Medicine, 2022), but lack skills (Psychology in the Schools, 2022)

Financial Hardship: 76% of primary schools in England face budget deficits in 2025 (School Cuts Coalition).

Our aim is to provide our curriculum programmes and teacher training completely free of charge to ensure that all children have early access to a preventative mental health provision.
